Hope to Cope

e.p.a. partners share insights from their communities with challenges and moments of joy and hope! Today with Ljubica from Pancevo (Serbia).

The partnership action “Hope to Cope” wants to remind us of the power of the network and the importance of local work in communities and it would like to share hope! Thank you Ljubica for sharing!

Ljubica is active with Women’s Peace Group Pancevo, Serbia

How are you and your community?
My community is holding up well even though the situation is difficult. I live in a small home-community with supported housing and people can’t go out here, we can’t decide on everyday things. So I and the people around miss the freedom, and that is freedom of movement and decision-making.

What have you discovered during the last months?
I learned a lot about the virus itself, about healthcare in our country, but also that people are quite angry about the political situation.

What gives you hope?
It gives me hope that the pandemic will pass, that I will find a job and have the opportunity to live better. But also that people support each other and help each other and think of each other.
