This video was filmed before the New Year, and we celebrated it with a youth group.
But what is the youth group?
It all started with the preparation for a youth exchange in Germany (Hamburg – Flensburg) in 2022. We found young people to participate, and at the same time, many Ukrainians arrived in Hamburg due to the war. As a result, half of the German group consisted of members from Ukraine who now live in Germany. Together, we started having meetings in preparation for the 2022 exchange.
After the exchange, we realized that we could do even more throughout the year. The young participants expressed their desire to meet more often and have a place like the e.p.a. office where they could gather. That’s how it all began.
Now, for the past three years, we have been meeting with the “Youth Group” every two weeks. In the months leading up to an exchange, we meet even more regularly. We play games, discuss both simple and complex topics, and support each other. Together, we come up with ideas for local events and bring them to life. For example, the youth group raised money for an exchange by organizing a sale.
We are happy to have these wonderful young people at our office, and we want to thank them for their active participation in the youth group activities over the past three years.
