Don’t look away – Let’s take a first step …!

After the past years ’21 in Slovenia and ’22 in Málaga-Ceuta, for 2023 the Baui-group from Hamburg have invited to celebrate this year’s Youth exchange in Germany, under the proposed working theme:

“Don’t look away – Let’s take a first step …!”

This International Youth Exchange (IYE) gave the opportunity for 60 young people from Spain, Slovakia, Portugal, Slovenia, Germany, Hungary, Romania and the UK to meet, learn, share,  work and play together, staying  in two different, both beautiful places: one week in a rural tranquil setting in the Jugend- und Bildungshaus in Tettenborn and the second week in the famous Youth Hostel am Stintfang, with a panorama view over the Elbe and port of Hamburg – in walking distance from the Baui St.Pauli.

The participating groups. all partners in the e.p.a.-network came from

Lisboa: eco-estilistas, Budapest: H52, Timisoara: Asociatia Filotimo, Maribor-Ljubljana: Filantropija, Málaga-Ceuta: almatahiar, Liverpool: up4change.

The hosting group was from the ‘Baui’ – which celebrated their 40th anniversary that year, – Adventure playground and Community Centre am Brunnenhof, under the motto: ‘Der Baui ist für alle da!”.

This was the first e.p.a. International Youth Exchange, which was supported by EU Erasmus+ Youth programme under the financial framework: “Accreditation”. So the APV meeting from 15-18 June was a great opportunity to prepare the Youth exchange together, explore the proposed theme, collect the proposals from all participants, co-create the programme of activities, which was uploaded by end of June.
