Fingers, Fins and Forests

Climate Change and Youth Initiatives - Young Europeans Become Aware and Share How to Care

 Buxton • Liverpool | UK

26. August 201509. September 2015

e.p.a. and the youth initiative Up4Change Liverpool were happy to announce that the European Youth Exchange has happened! It took place in Liverpool and Buxton (UK) from 26th August to 9th September 2015 and brought together 60 young people from 7 countries across Europe: Slovakia, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia, Germany and the host country UK.

The theme was “Fingers, Fins and Forests: Climate Change and Youth Initiatives – Young Europeans become aware and share how to care” and we are happy to invite you to think and share insights and experiences how Global Warming has affected our lives, community, country and what we can do.

We started our journey with one week in Buxton, and than we travelled to Liverpool for another 7 days.

The program and methodology were focused around the participants, who will present their cities and communities, projects and a self designed Workshop on the theme. Together we embraced our theme and celebrated our friendship with multicultural activities, energizers, games, workshops, group discussions, meetings with youth initiatives, visits to local projects and places with historical and cultural interest, organised public actions (e.g.: play day) and intercultural evenings.

We enjoyed the project, now let´s turn our attention to playing and working together again in the future!
