Study Seminar
Sustaining The Momentum of the Arab Spring
Young people face the challenges of rebuilding their mosaic societies
Sfax • Tunis | Tunisia
01. September 2013 – 10. September 2013
Two years after the “Arab Spring” ignited the surge and lust for democracy, we face a mosaic of interests swirling around the Maghreb. What place do young people who started this process now hold?
Within this theme we discussed and shared the issues of recapitulating the recent history. Where do we stand? Human Rights and gender issues within Arab societies, strengthening our communities, networking and follow up.
This e.p.a. Study Seminar, in co-operation with Yalla and our host organisation OVC (Will and Citizenship Organisation) took place in Sfax and Tunis from 1st to 10th September 2013 and focused on young people (under 30 years), who are actively involved in youth and/or community work to nourish their civil societies.
