Combiwel’s dream is to provide every Amsterdammer of a 100% social and energetic neighbourhood. In a neighbourhood like this the residents inspire people, local organizations and entrepreneurs to connect with each other regardless of age or descent.

Combiwel builds, together with these local powers in the neighbourhood, and try to be a catalyst on a local basis. Combiwel stimulates Amsterdammers of all ages to meet each other, develop and exchange energy and to take action together.

The main way of operation is through community centres and “Buurtwerk” uses Outreaching methods to be engaged with the people from the neighbourhood (community work on a local basis). The main purpose is to work on emancipation, offering a safe space and a place that can serve as a pillar for the community to meet people from the community.
