Florentyna holds a master’s degree and completed her teacher training in Hamburg for grades 1 to 10, specializing in German and Social Studies (Civics). She has over ten years of experience working in the youth center “Haus der Familie”, focusing on girls’ programs, learning coaching, and homework support.
In the “Junge Vorbilder” project run by Verikom e.V., she worked for several years as a mentor for young people, supporting them on their path to the German high school diploma and university. During this time, she completed further training as an anti-discrimination trainer for schools and the education sector.
In 2007, Florentyna first came into contact with e.p.a. as a participant in a youth exchange and immediately fell in love with non-formal education based on equality, play, fun, energizers, connection, creativity, and empowering engagement. With e.p.a.’s support, she was able to participate in a voluntary service in Brazil as a young person. She has gained extensive experience in youth exchanges not only with e.p.a. but also with other organizations.
She has also developed further intercultural competencies through several years of teaching German to adults, from A1 to B2 levels, including orientation courses. Besides German, English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese through her family, Florentyna also speaks Polish.
Florentyna leads a diverse and active personal life. She especially enjoys singing, organizing mental wellness groups (including meditation, Yin Yoga, gratitude exercises), and dancing. She also writes poetry and songs, stays physically active, loves learning new things, traveling, listening to podcasts, experiencing new cultures, attending cultural events, and connecting with people…
