It is with a sad heart and deep gratitude that we share with you that our dear friend Christine Solano passed away on 12th March 2024.
Christine was a passionate play worker, committed to the motto: “All children need love, especially when they don’t deserve it!“
As one of the founding members of e.p.a., Christine co-created the first Euro-South American Youth exchanges with young people from deprived communities on both sides of the Atlantic in 1992. She was a chairperson of e.p.a. from 1995 to 2016. During these 21 years she oversaw the first Youth Exchanges with participants from Ex-Soviet states and former Yugoslavia, the miraculous ‘A Different Triangle‘ tri-continental Youth Exchanges, the Silver Seminars and projects welcoming refugees and migrants, all embracing Human Rights.

Mit traurigem Herzen und tiefer Dankbarkeit teilen wir mit, dass unsere liebe Freundin Christine Solano am 12. März 2024 verstorben ist.
Christine war eine engagierte Betreuerin, spielte und arbeitete nach dem Motto “Alle Kinder brauchen Liebe, besonders wenn sie sie nicht verdienen!”
Als eines der Gründungsmitglieder von e.p.a. war Christine 1992 Mitinitiatorin der ersten euro-südamerikanischen e.p.a. Jugendbegegnung mit Jugendgruppen aus benachteiligten Stadtteilen auf beiden Seiten des Atlantiks. Von 1995 bis 2016 war sie Vorsitzende von e.p.a.. In diesen 21 Jahren war sie mit-verantwortlich für die ersten Jugendbegegnungen mit Teilnehmenden aus den ehemaligen Sowjetstaaten und Jugoslawien, die wunderbaren ‘A Different Triangle‘ tri-kontinentalen Jugendbegegnungen, Silberseminare und Willkommens-Projekte für Migrant*innen und Geflüchtete – alle mit Bezug auf universelle Menschenrechte.

Con un corazón triste y profunda gratitud compartimos con ustedes – la no grata noticia – de que nuestra querida amiga Christine Solano falleció el pasado 12 de marzo del presente año.
Christine fue una apasionada trabajadora comunitaria, comprometida con el lema: “Todos los niños necesitan amor, ¡especialmente cuando no lo merecen!”.
Como una de los miembros fundadores de e.p.a., Christine co-creó los primeros intercambios juveniles euro-sudamericanos con jóvenes de comunidades desfavorecidas de ambos lados del Atlántico en 1992. Fue presidenta de e.p.a. desde 1995 hasta el 2016. Durante éstos 21 años supervisó los primeros Intercambios de Jóvenes con participantes de los antiguos Estados soviéticos y de la antigua Yugoslavia, los milagrosos Intercambios Tri-continentales con Jóvenes del ‘Triángulo Diferente’, los ‘Seminarios de Plata’ y los proyectos de acogida a refugiados y migrantes, todos relacionados con los Derechos Humanos.
