Espaço Jovem

 

Associação Espaço Jovem is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation based in the city of Mindelo in Cape Verde.

Since 2003, Espaço Jovem has been developing a socio-cultural intervention for youth on the outskirts of Mindelo, with the aim of offering activities and spaces for the free time of children, adolescents and young people. Its focus is on those at risk and social exclusion in the most unprotected neighborhoods in the city. With a view to preventing children’s exposure to social risks, and with the intention of guaranteeing a promising future and a healthy society, the association streamlines its activities through two youth centers.
